Inheritance, Acquisitions and Bequests

William Drayton's will makes reference to enslaved people in his estate being employed on his son-in-law Daniel Wilson's Stono lands, and we do indeed see that reflected in his estate inventory. It appears as though his skilled laborers were in Charleston, perhaps hired out. The remainder of the enslaved people in his estate are listed as field hands and were apraised on Savannah River and at the Stono lands of Daniel Wilson. Their names were:
